Blossoms resembling sunflowers grace this green, red and gold toned Tonga Batik by Timeless Treasures Fabrics. The large flower is about 3 x 3 5/8 inches. All batiks are hand dyed. The colors vary even within a bolt of fabric. Because of the nature of the hand-dying process, batiks often bleed or run. Therefore, if you may wash your completed project, we recommend you pre-wash batiks, preferably with something that helps fix" or lock in the colors. Commercial treatments are available. Many people use white vinegar.
